
The Moore School chapter of Net Impact sponsored a table at the Healthy Carolina Farmers Market October 22, coinciding with "Sustainability Week" at the University of South Carolina. Net Impact is a national organization of students who promote socially responsible business practices. The Moore School now hosts both graduate and undergraduate Net Impact groups.

India Wells (shown seated in photo), Community Impact Leader for the undergraduate group, said the group’s goals are to work with business and community leaders to "promote environmentally responsible business practices." One proposed project involves energy and environmental impact audits of local businesses. The group has also engaged with a local elementary school for volunteer service.
Net Impact has also hosted guest speakers this year, including the Executive Director of the U.S. Business Council for Sustainable Development, Andy Mangan.
