• James L. "Jimmy" Burkett, Lecturer and Managing Director of the MACC (Master of Accountancy) program, is the recipient of the Outstanding Accounting Educator Award for 2004 given by the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. More
• Dr. Billy F. Kiker, professor of economics, has been honored in a special issue ofEconomics of Education Review. More
• Marketing professor Dr. Stacey Wood received a special invitation to attend the Marketing Science Institute's Young Scholars Program. More  
• Dr. Manoj K. Malhotra, chair and professor of management science, was recently appointed to the editorial board of Decision Sciences as an associate editor. More
• Dr. Robert E. Markland, associate dean of administration and professor of managment science, completed 21 consecutive years of service on the editorial board of  Decision Sciences, first as editor for six years, then as associate editor from 1990-2004.More
• Dr. Hoyt N. Wheeler, professor of management, has been awarded a Fulbright. More
• Dr. W.R. Folks, Jr., professor of international business, re-elected. More
• Dr. Andrew Gold, assistant professor of management science, has been appointed to serve on the Microsoft Faculty Advisory Board for 2003-2004. More
• Dr. Carolyn Jones, assistant dean for the undergraduate division, was co-winner of the 2003 Outstanding Freshman Advocate Award. More
• Dr. Tatiana Kostova, associate professor of international business, was co-director this spring of a Faculty Development in International Business (FDIB) trip to three Central and Eastern European countries: the Czech Republic, Russia, and Bulgaria. More
• Dr. Bruce M. Meglino, professor of management, has been appointed a Consulting Editor at the Journal of Applied Psychology. More
• Dr. William T. (Ted) Moore, Berlinberg Professor of Finance, and editor for The Journal of Financial Research, has been appointed to the position of Associate Provost for Budget and Operations.  In addition, he has completed several studies. More
• Dr. Randall R. Rose, associate professor of marketing, co-chaired Summer Educators' Conference for the American Marketing Association in Chicago. More
• Dr. Martin S. Roth, associate professor of international business, has an article published in the Journal of Advertising Research.  More 
• Dr. Sergey Tsyplakov, assistant professor of finance, has won a $12,000 grant from the Real Estate Research Institute (RERI) Board of Directors for a research proposal about credit spreads in commercial mortgages. Tsyplakov and Dr. Frank Fehle, also an assistant professor of finance, won the Caesarea Award for the best paper on risk management. The award was presented in June at the 2003 Western Finance Association Conference. More
• Dr. Stacy L. Wood, assistant professor of marketing, is the new director of the Marketing Scholars Program. More
