Research by
Marcus Caylor, accounting, and Lawrence D. Brown, Georgia State University,
was cited in an article in the August 1 issue of
CFO magazine. The article, "More Rules, Higher Profits?", mentions their findings that
some corporate governance factors can help a company's performance; other factors can, in fact, be
harmful. Caylor's and Brown's research is described in their paper,
