Many of the Moore School’s 1,070 entering freshmen attended a New Student Reception August 17 in the school’s lobby. This year's class is thought to be the business school’s largest freshman class ever. Moore School freshmen this year are from 32 states and 9 countries. Dr. Carolyn Jones, assistant dean of the Undergraduate Division, says the average SAT score is up from 1188 in 2007 to 1196 in 2008. Overall, 21 percent of all business school students this fall are either in the Honors College or are Capstone Scholars (students with a required SAT of 1250 and above) . Six out of 26 Moore School freshmen are Carolina Scholars this year, while 6 out of 22 are McNair Scholars. |
