PPG Industries, Inc., a Pittsburgh-based global supplier of coatings, glass, fiber
glass and chemicals, has given the Moore School a $10,000 gift to be used for student career
development activities. "We are very pleased to receive this gift," said Jane R. Willis,
director of Graduate Career Management. The money will be used to fund three activities,
Willis said:
- The 2006 "Dine Like a Diplomat" luncheon for International MBA
students and first-year Master of Human Resources (MHR) students. The
annual luncheon imparts table manner wisdom and conversational tips
designed to make job interviews more successful. Business executives
attend the luncheon and conduct mock interviews to help students prepare
for the real thing.
- A Career Exploration Luncheon Series, held about twice a month for
graduate students. The series features an interactive exchange between
students and area business professionals about career possibilities.
- Support for the IMBA Case Team. The team represents the Moore School
at case competitions in the United States and abroad.
