Prospective Ph.D. Students

Admissions Schedule


The doctoral program typically takes students about 4-5 years to complete, 2 of which must be in-residence. The first two years are spent taking coursework, while the remaining years are devoted to research and working on your dissertation.  All application materials must be received by January 15 to be considered for financial assistance.  Doctoral students traditionally start their program in the fall semester. 

Individual departments have established varying admissions schedules for their entering classes.  The following departments anticipate accepting applications for Fall 2009:

  Accounting (only Accounting Doctoral Scholars should apply)


IMPORTANT DATES


January 15
Deadline for all application materials to be received in order to be considered for admission and/or assistanships.

April 15

Students offered a graduate assistantship award by the Moore School of Business must accept or reject the award by April 15.

Entry Dates 
Traditionally doctoral candidates begin in the fall term.
