Biography
Paulo Guimarães is a Research Associate Professor in the Division of Research and the Economics Department at the Moore School of Business, the University of South Carolina. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of South Carolina in 1992. Dr. Guimarães' primary research interests are in industrial economics, regional economics, and applied econometrics. Some of his recent publications include articles in the Econometrics Journal, Economics Letters, Journal of Regional Science, Journal of Urban Economics, and the Review of Economics and Statistics. Dr. Guimarães teaches a course on forecasting and is responsible for the South Carolina Economic Outlook, which provides quarterly and annual projections of the South Carolina economy. Education
