PROGRAM OVERVIEW

General Requirements

MA in Economics as an Applied Terminal Degree

A student planning a career in business or government may emphasize applied areas of economics and business administration and regard the Master of Arts in Economics as a terminal degree.  All MA in Economics students must acquire a strong background in economics, but students seeking an applied emphasis are provided an opportunity for courses and research experiences with direct relevance to contemporary business and social problems.  These students may obtain six hours of credit selected from finance, accounting, or labor relations.  The program requires:
