| The FDIB seminar series at the Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina, is the
oldest and most highly regarded program of its kind. The goal of the program is to internationalize
business school faculty, preparing them to teach international business course.
FDIB is a series of six concurrent seminars. Each participant chooses one seminar and spends a week with some of the top faculty in the international business field developing both professional knowledge about the particular topic and the pedagogical skills that will enhance teaching of the subject. Spanish Faculty Development in International Business |

| The workshop is designed for college and university professors of Spanish who are interested in
or already offering courses in business Spanish at the advanced-intermediate and advanced levels.
Each topic of this program was carefully selected to cultivate better instruction. Participants will discover new practices and resources to improve their abilities as instructors in the ever-evolving and changing international business environment. The workshop provides an understanding of the field of international business, a source of employment for many students of foreign languages. It presents frameworks, tools, and factual knowledge useful for understanding the challenges of firms operating across national borders. The course has a particular emphasis on Latin America. The Graduate School of Bank Investments and Financial Planning |

| The Moore School’s mission is to provide a hands-on educational experience and to deliver
product knowledge, quantitative skills, and market experience in the dynamic fields of investment
portfolio, asset/liability and financial management.

| The current interest rate environment presents significant challenges to community bankers in
managing their security portfolios and overall interest rate risk in the balance sheet. This
conference provides a critique of current investment alternatives, examines the trade-offs between
different funding alternatives, and describes strategies to enhance portfolio performance and
aggregate interest rate risk management practices.

In September 2007, Executive Education at the Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina collaborated with Midlands Technical College in presenting the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER TMCertification Education Program. In today’s competitive financial planning environment, the CFP® Certification is the mark of a true professional. This program helps you expand your knowledge and credibility, broaden your contact network and deliver expertise to your clients. Download Brochure. The seven module program is offered at Midlands Technical College’s Airport Campus and at other technical colleges in the state via interactive video conferencing. Classes began September 13, 2007 and will run through March 26, 2009. Students who successfully complete the 2007 program will be certified as eligible to apply to sit for the CFP® Certification Examination in July 2009.
