Consulting Services

The Daniel-Mickel Center for Executive Education has increasingly been engaged to conduct consulting projects with corporate clients. Services have ranged from facilitating senior management teams to assisting in enhancing plant-wide performance of work teams to revising human resource development initiatives and systems.

A few sample projects are described below. Calling on a broad global network of faculty, practitioners and consultants with expertise covering virtually every facet of business, the Daniel-Mickel Center for Executive Education is a rich resource for corporations seeking consulting partners.

Sample Projects

Robert Bosch Corporation: The DMC worked with a high level internal task force to identify key managerial and business competencies for Bosch associates and middle managers which would align with their strategic initiatives over the next decade, and then developed a comprehensive training manual based upon the identified competencies which was circulated to over 2,000 Bosch managers.

Alcatel: Working with the fiber optic cable site in Hickory, NC, the DMC assessed the current status of their workteam environment and identified key areas for enhancement.

UNUM: The Center worked with the senior management team of the Information Systems Division to map out their strategic and tactical objectives for a two-year period and facilitated the development of this relatively new team; also consult with the VP of Human Resources and Manager of Human Resource Development at one of UNUM's leading business units to assist them in designing and implementing critical training and development programs and systems.
