Undergraduate Computer Recommendations

The undergraduate curriculum employs extensive use of personal computers throughout many of the required business courses. Extensive use can also be anticipated in many business majors. Further, the business world requires computer use and connectivity, which are essential for present day communication, clerical work, data access, organization and analysis.

Technical knowledge and the ability to operate comfortably in a computer environment are essential to success in the business world.

Moore School of Business strongly recommends that students have their own desktop or notebook PC. Lab facilities will be available for students not having their own computer and for specialized software. However, peak demand when major assignments are due can cause extensive delays in completing computer-based assignments. Having your own PC will avoid this type of problem.

There are hot spot wireless laptop connectivity (802.11B/G/N Wi-Fi) points in the Moore School of Business. USC Network connectivity availability can be located in the Student Technology Guide brochure distributed during student orientation.
