"High Touch...High Tech" solution

As an alumnus of the Moore School of Business, you can utilize Alumni Career Services’ "High Touch…High Tech" solution that maximizes the use of personal one-on-one counseling and the Internet. In partnership with Lee Hecht Harrison (LHH), the world’s largest corporate career services and outplacement firm, the Moore School offers – at no cost to you – an Internet-based product called CareerTools.

CareerTools is a comprehensive job search and career management program that combines the 24/7 availability of an online career site with the personalized assistance of locally available career professionals. CareerTools includes a "career wizard" that provides step-by-step directions for conducting a job search and building a personal career development plan. It also provides samples of resumes, access to millions of job listings, instruction in interviewing and negotiating, resources to company research, and an online professional community and global networking tool. In addition, as an alumnus of the Moore School, you are eligible to subscribe, at a much reduced cost, to LHH’s "Career Services" site. Here LHH offers job search seminars and individual sessions (including personal assessments, interview role playing, premium-level programs, and integrated programs combining group workshops and individual consulting) at any of the firm’s 215-plus offices, or via the LHH@home program.  < View the LHH Press Release>

Other assistance

Under the Alumni Career Services umbrella, individual Moore School alumni can also subscribe to various LHH services, including personal career planning and individual executive coaching. These programs vary in length and cost.

Executive Search Firm List

Alumni have often found it helpful to contact Executive Search Firms in a new job search.  Click here for the most recently revised version of the list.  The list is composed of firms which have submitted job listings and from former students who have had success with a firm.  If you wish to suggest a firm to be added to the list, please e-mail the information to leanne@moore.sc.edu .
